The Head Baseball Coach is responsible for developing and leading a competitive baseball program. This includes planning practices, managing assistant coaches, overseeing player development, and ensuring academic and athletic success for student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct daily practices, training sessions, and game strategies.
Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and support staff.
Scout opponents and analyze game film to develop competitive tactics.
Oversee academic performance, eligibility, and conduct of student-athletes.
Manage team equipment, budget, and travel logistics.
Promote sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork.
Organize camps, clinics, and fundraising events as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a head or assistant baseball coach.
Strong knowledge of baseball rules, strategies, and player development.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
CPR/First Aid certified; relevant coaching certifications preferred.
